Despite her androgynous figure and unconcern whether people mistake her for one or the other, Nuriko is a girl. She's never been very feminine. How her glasses manage to stay on is a mystery she'lll probably never reveal-- her eyesight isn't so bad that being without them will leave her blind, but it blurs her perception enough to be an annoyance and make her aim waver somewhat.

Nuriko was born the oldest of four siblings: three brothers and two sisters. Her mother and father are both alive and well, though they had married and had kids later than most couples. In all Nuriko lived a rather straight forward, if busy, life. She was teased often during her younger years for being more masculine than the other girls her age and that that time she'd been a rather sensitive person. She came home often to cry to her mother and father; by nature her father was a strict man, but not uncaring, and was quick to teach his young daughter to embrace these differences and make them her own.
She grew up rejecting the ideas of femininity and instead decided to forge her own way, adopting more masculine mannerisms and speech patterns. Her younger siblings alternate between referring to her as "big sister" and "big brother" and she neither encourages or discourages either. If people take her more seriously by thinking she was a man, that was fine with her. If they realized she was a girl and tried to look down on her, she was quick to show them why such a course was very unwise.
Though her first name was very feminine, she quickly grew insistent on people referring to her by last name; in recent years as she's matured and grown she's lightened up on this however.
Despite these hiccups, she grew well, becoming a genin at 12 and a chuunin at 14, finally becoming a jounin at 17. She's been a jounin for two years now and looks after her aging parents and older siblings, the youngest of which has become a genin now.
Despite being female her looks garnered her a minor following of underclassmen who either didn't know or didn't care that she was female. Occasionally she still receives a love letter or two in the mail.

Description: Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. The Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance. The copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one's opponent. As soon the Bunshin gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse.

Description: Henge no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents. However, it does not grant one the properties of said objects or skills of that person, meaning turning into a weapon will not allow you to cut an opponent and turning into a dog will not give you a great sense of smell.
This technique can also be used in conjunction with someone, who may a person, a pet or a summoning creature, in which case it is called Konbi Henge (Combination Transformation). However, its principles remain the same.

Description: Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themself with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack. Naturally, it won't work with another person unless their skill gap is enormous, and the object to replace oneself with must be close in size and weight to the ninja themselves. This technique must be set up a little ahead when fighting skilled opponents, otherwise, you may end up getting struck because you wouldn't have enough time to use it.

Description: A very useful technique that dispels or prevents the effects of genjutsu in its early stages. To perform it, the user only needs to hold their hands in a tiger hand seal and channel some chakra into it. A lower-level genjutsu will be dispelled without any harm to the user. Description: An advanced ninjutsu that allows a shinobi to basically become invisible. It acts on the principle of a chameleon, making the user appear the same way as the background, except from any point of view. To execute this jutsu, the user must form the required hand seals and then press against any surface until the camouflage is applied. They can then walk around freely without fear of being seen, but can still be detected by other means. Special detection techniques may be able to expose the person using this.

Description: Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. The ninja will appear and disappear in an instant, allowing them to retreat or attack suddenly. While it may seem like the user simply appeared or disappeared, the technique is actually a momentary increase in movement speed towards a set location.

It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Because of this, only a few highly skilled medical-nin are able to use this technique. C-Ranked heals minor wounds and scratches over the course of two posts. B-Ranked heals major wounds and gashes over the course of three posts and minor wounds over the course of 1 post if it is the only jutsu used. A-Ranked heals life threatening wounds over the course of five posts, major wounds in two posts, and minor wounds immediately.
