Learning 8-Triagrams, 32 Palms [Closed]

It was a sunny day outside, nice and cool. The wind brushed through Hirou's blonde hair as he went over his regime. He'd been training with 8 Triagrams for a few weeks now and he was tired of not getting it right. The concept was simple, and anyone you explained it to would understand it immediately. But the precision and accuracy it required each and every time was insane. Hirou was introducing himself to Ijutsu, which was already required a lot of chakra control, but Hyuuga jutsu required something much more. If you pictured open-heart surgery with a blindfold, that was what being a Hyuuga was like without the use of Byakugan. Byakugan itself didn't make it any easier, just possible. And that was the task that his clan had set up for him; to learn one of their signature taijutsu.

Hirou left plenty of room for himself as he stood in front of a dummy. He'd placed his own chakra within the dummy in very specific locations, each spot corresponding to a chakra point located within any given chakra network. Thirty two points of chakra were placed within the dummy, and he'd have to hit every single one within a very short timeframe. Hirou took a deep breath. It was an extremely hard task, and still he was determined to get it right. More than that, he was determined to get it perfect. Hirou tried to clear his head. Sometimes when he let his subconsious do more thinking than he did so consiously, he could fight better. In fact, when he thought the least was when he considered himself the smartest. Those split-second decisions that no one really actually thought about were the ones he always prided himself in being able to make accurately.

Hirou rose his left arm and placed it flat in front of himself, his right one bent and his hand facing down. The Gentle Fist Style stance was not a hard one, and it felt natural to him. Hirou took one deep breath in, held it for a few seconds, and then exhaled calmly through his mouth. He was ready. His Byakugan activated and everything went black. Usually the area around a Hyuuga after they activate their doujutsu appears white. However, what Hirou currently saw was a green circle appearing around himself, a taijutu appearing beneath his feet. His right hand moved up to meet his left, both facing forward. "Gentle Fist, 8 Triagrams 32 Palms!" he called out as he moved his right hand behind and his left hand down, his left leg stretching in front of him while his right knee bent slightly.

Hirou dashed forward, the doll in front of him standing no chance. This time, he was going to get it right. "2 PALMS!" he called out as he made his first two strikes, hitting the tenketsu on the spot. "4 palms!" he called as he attempted to hit the next two tenketsu. He barely hit one, though still releasing the chakra out of the dummy. He didn't let it phase him, however, "8 palms!" he said as he struck again. Two more in the chest, twice in each arm. "16 palms!" he moved faster now, each set of strikes taking the same amount of time, even though he doubled the amount in each set. He struck the dummy precisely, not even stressing about missing. He hit every one, right on the dot. "32 palms!" he called as he finished up, having made sixteen strikes in a matter of seconds. It was unbelievable how powerful the technique could become should it's intent be to kill. In fact, one strike to the heart would deliver a killing blow. Lucky for, well, everyone really, the Hyuuga were pretty pacifistic, and the 8 Triagrams were inherited only by Hirou. Other than his teacher, no one else was supposed to know the technique. And now that he'd finished his training, and successfully used the technique, the two of them were the only ones Hirou could name who knew the technique.

That's when it hit him, too. Suddenly a big smirk appeared on his face. He broke his fighting stance and threw a fist into the air, "YEAH!" he called, probably louder than he should have. With the Byakugan and 8-Trigrams 32 Palms, he was a force to be reckoned with. Anyone who dared let themselves get within range was, for lack of a better term, screwed. And that was how it aught to be when you pick a fight with a Hyuuga.

With the sun shining bright, and a nice and cool breeze of wind heading through the Village, Shizuko had his hands behind his head, with his elbows up, a confident smirk could be shown on his face. His clothing was nothing more then a regular outfit for an Uchiha, with a black, high-collared and short-sleeved shirt, along with a pair of tan pants and a pair of black sandals. He was slowly walking through the Village, it seemed the storm had finally passed over Konohagakure. Sakura tree petals flew through the wind, covering most of Konoha with their beauty, however a mess to clean up for those who didn't quite enjoy their beauty.

The Village seemed quiet like always, the war hadn't calmed at all, even after speaking with the Tsuchikage, it worried Shizuko, he felt like if things kept going the same, he would need to call for something drastic in order to slow down the pace and loss of lives. He also had to worry about the small groups of bandits sprouting around Hi No Kuni, and their conquering of smaller Villages, he had already found a young Chunin in order to assist him, apparently by the name Mitsuaki Uchiha, according to the girl who accompanied him, while he could have probably done the mission by himself, he was looking for more Shinobi, in order to ensure the Village was safe even if he was gone.

Once he had neared one of the various training grounds, he wasn't really all that interested in scouting them out, but after he heard a peculiar shout apparently a boy had called out something during his practice. Bringing up a tiger hand seal up to his lips, he faded into a blur towards the inner area of the Training Grounds, closely observing the boys actions, to observe closer, he activated his Sharingan. Suddenly his onyx eyes turned even blacker, with three red tomoe appearing across his eyes, usually for the Sharingan it was a red background and black tomoe, but Shizuko's Sharingan was an exception apparently. Without his Sharingan, he didn't believe he could keep up with the boys movements. It was an extraordinary technique, catching his interest slightly. He crossed his arms, smirking as he watched the boy continue his attack, waiting patiently for it's end.

As the boy cheered out in excitement, Shizuko slowly walked towards the boy, acknowledging his accomplishment. Impressive, I must say. I've never seen a technique like that, honestly. His eyes slowly faded back to onyx, his face seemed to have a calm expression, not showing any real feedback.

Hirou still had the biggest smile on his face when he turned to face the newcomer. He would have noticed the man much sooner, however, he was so intently focused on finally getting his new technique perfect that he probably wouldn't have noticed if more had shown up. Well, Hirou thought, he wasn't that blind. He probably would have noticed if anyone were to arrive as long as they weren't trying to be sneaky about it. The man who had shown up, though, gave off the feeling that he tried to sneak everywhere he went. Hirou wasn't too shocked, however, and he didn't really raise his guard. Well, considering that his two main forms of defense and offense, his Byakugan and Gentle Fist Style, were both currently in use, he didn't have much more guard to raise. Still, Hirou shook his head and looked at the man standing before him.

As he did so, Hirou noticed two distinct things. First off, the person who'd come to compliment him on his newly mastered technique was none other than his Hokage, Shizuko. Second, Shizuko's chakra network was a bit... funny, to say the least. It seemed to act up a bit near some areas of his skin from time to time, though Hirou mentally decided he wouldn't bring it up. "Hello Hokage Shizuko," Hirou greeted rather formally. He didn't like to, but he figured that he himself wouldn't be meeting anyone with more power than the Hokage, so he may as well pay his respects to someone. Still, if he got to know him, he wasn't sure how long his 'manners' would hold. Formal really just wasn't his thing. As he turned to the doll, Hirou's face went a bit sour. The doll was nothing, just practice. The real fun would be when he could use it on an actual person, and see how well they fought after having a large chunk of their tenketsu closed off. "8 Triagrams, 32 Palms," Hirou began to explain to Shizuko, "It's a taijutsu that is passed down to a single Hyuuga each generation, and it just so happens that I am that Hyuuga. I just kinda used it, but I don't know if I count it until I find an actual shinobi for it," he said a bit sadly. "But tere's no way someone's going to volunteer for me to use it on them; They'd have to be insane." he added.

Hirou rose his hand to his headband, his fingers messing with it a bit. It was a very simple action, casual even, but something he did when he was anxious. And boy was he restless right now. Now that he'd finally used his technique, and correctly, too, he wanted to use it now more than anything. Hirou had seen first hand what Gentle Fist Style could do, but now with 8 Triagrams 32 Palms? He was excited. He wanted to test it; the powerfulness of pacifism. It was ironic, really, and it brought a smile to his face. As Hirou looked over at Shizuko, he noticed the blank expression on his face, and was now curious as to what had brought him here, in the outskirts of his own village. Maybe he was trying to get away from the paperwork, or was just on a stroll. Though the former was very probable, Hirou mentally shook his head at the latter. He'd seen Shizuko a few times, and he didn't seem like the type to enjoy just walking very much.

With the cool breeze continuously flowing through the Village, Shizuko nodded in response to the young Shinobi. Greetings, he replied, he wasn't aware of the boys name, which was always an embarrassing factor when people knew his name. It took him a dull moment, but he hadn't even realized this boy was a Hyuuga till he mentioned it, the boys hair was blonde instead of black, the only way he knew for sure were his eyes, the Byakugan. And apparently this boy was taught a unique technique by the name 8 Triagrams, 32 Palms, the name rang a bell, the technique was only passed down to a single Hyuuga every generation. After hearing his final words, Shizuko let out a silent chuckle, No one in their right mind would let you practice that on them. Of course I'm not in my right mind.

Shizuko put a hand over his mouth, and let out a yawn, quickly putting his hands behind his back and observing the boy. He couldn't shake off the fact he didn't have the regular appearance of a Hyuuga, and it appeared his was apart of the Main Branch, which was even more interesting. Most Hyuuga kept their marriages within their own clan, while it could be considered odd, and incest, it was to keep their bloodlines "pure". This was definitely the most unique Hyuuga Shizuko had ever seen, then again, Shizuko couldn't be considered normal himself. A giant smirk appeared on his face, and an idea came to mind, I'll tell you what.. I'll let you practice that technique with me, if you're up to a real sparr. While it wasn't usually in the normal for Shizuko to let himself be a punching bag for practice, he was quite interested in this young Hyuuga's technique.

Shizuko shrugged a shoulder and turned around, walking off a few feet, just in case the boy did accept the challenge. He groaned slightly, the burns from a fight with Satoshi Uchiha still covered his body, the two were fighting fire with fire, causing a mass explosion to devour the two, while it would slightly hinder his performance, it wasn't like he was suddenly unable to fight. The boy had seemed eager about testing out his technique, so the least he could do was help him practice it out, it would also be a fun experience to discover the boys potential.

Hirou was already in a pretty good mood, so he'd had a big smile on his face pretty much his entire conversation with Shizuko. But when he offered to be a big testing dummy for his technique, he couldn't help but smile wider. It was an amazing opportunity to be given the chance to really use it so soon. He hadn't expected to get the chance for a long while, and now a Hokage was going to let him test it out, right then and there. Which, even though he kind of kicked himself for it, made Hirou wonder a bit. How much of a match would he be for the Hokage if he took away his ability to use jutsu. Since Shizuko offered to spar him, it was pretty much all Hirou could think about. Could he, a simple chuunin, level the playing field with just his technique? Hirou shook his head. Not because the answer was no, but because he'd been underestimating the technique itself. That's exactly what it could do. If he were to hit Shizuko with 8-Triagrams, 32 Palms, and then keep a close-distance with him, he'd win the fight. Now, it was going to be hell to actually hit Shizuko, but once he did... It wouldn't just be a Hokage versus a Chuunin, it would be something completely different. The one who held the advantage in this fight would not be the one with more experience or talent, but the one who could land the most hits. That thought intruiged Hirou more than anything.

Hirou watched as Shizuko took a few steps back. He didn't even wait for Hirou to accept his, well, sort-of-challenge. He wasn't sure what it was, but everything about this guy was making Hirou more excited. It's like their personalities fit, sort of, and he couldn't wait to get into a fight with him, to see what he was made of. Now that he thought about it, Shizuko wasn't very familiar with the technique Hirou performed in front of him. There wasn't anything he could have seen, really, which meant Shizuko knew pretty much nothing about Hyuuga. However, Hirou knew plenty about the Uchiha. Well, enough to know that they can copy techniques with their doujutsu and they pretty much all had a chakra nature of fire. Did that mean every technique Hirou used, aside from his clan jutsu, Shizuko could copy? He wasn't quite sure.

However, Hirou did know one thing for sure; Shizuko was going to make him work. If this was going to be anything of a challenge, there was no way Hirou would simply be able to land 8-Triagrams, that would be too easy. So, he figured, there was no point starting with that jutsu. He may as well start with - "Great Breakthrough!" Hirou thought loudly in his head, bringing his hand to his mouth and initiating the battle with a huge gust of wind. Fire beat wind, but Hirou couldn't imagine a fire able to fight it's way through a gust like that. Hirou had to remind himself that he was facing someone at a kage-level, and even though he expected him to go easy, he told himself again that this was going to be a challenge. "Hirou Hyuuga," he said after performing his jutsu, leaving it at that. No, 'I will defeat you,' no 'Good luck'. Just his name. He figured this was a time for fighting, not talking.

Shizuko let out a deep exhale, clearing his mind for a moment, closing his eyes for a moment. After a brief moment of nothing but silence from him, his eyes opened to reveal his three-tomoe Sharingan. The boy identified himself as Hiroui Hyuuga, it was also pretty clear that this young man was capable in Taijutsu, and had the Byakugan, if it was anything like his Sharingan, it could see chakra, causing certain jutsu to be rendered useless against them. He couldn't be very sure, so he had to test out the capabilities of his Doujutsu. It seemed this boy was eager to practice his new technique, as he never even gave a yes or no, just his name. It would be an interesting match to see how capable this young man was, it was Chuunin VS Kage, but there was always a possibility for victory.

Quickly noticing the boys muscles tensing up, followed by a string of hand seals, blasting out gust of wind from his mouth, out of pure reaction Shizuko himself quickly performed a line of hand seals, placing a hand up to his mouth and releasing a burst of Katon chakra from his stomach, roaring out an explosion of fire towards the Hirou, bending the flame in order to take on the appearance of a dragon's head. While it wasn't the best idea to send a giant fireball towards a large gust of wind, the blast had the chance of overpowering his jutsu, along with blasting Hirou away with a large burst of fire. After all, Shizuko's jutsu overpowered his in many aspects, along with the fact Katon beats Fuuton, but it was all up to the two in order to see a victor in this tug of war of power.

If Shizuko successfully repelled the attack against him, he would prepare another string of hand seals, his stance was odd, his knees and elbows were bent, it was stance used for long-range jutsu. While he wasn't going all out on this boy, it wouldn't have been fun for either of the two if he didn't put some effort into this fight. It seemed Shizuko had prepared a Genjutsu, and a skillful one at that, if Hirou was caught inside the Genjutsu two snakes would appear from the ground and wrap around him, and effectively crush him. While this would all be mentally, it would however leave Hirou paralysed if he was caught inside the Genjutsu.

Fighting against a person with the strength of a kage was not a common practice, and not one Hirou assumed would happen while he was still a Chuunin. Still, it was an opportunity that was made available to him, and he was going to take advantage of it. At first, it confused him a bit. Eventually, though, it began to thrill him. He started to see the fight in ways to win, not just ways to survive. He assumed his opponent wouldn't try to kill him, but wasn't stupid enough to let that win the fight. It wasn't like he didn't expect Shizuko to hold back, but some hits just weren't the easiest to control. Still, Hirou saw a light, a possibility for him to win, if only Shizuko would allow Hirou to use his 8-Triagrams, 32 Palms. If he could lock down his chakra, he honestly though he'd gain the advantage over someone whose skill level was clearly superior to his own.

When Hirou noticed that Shizuko's hands blurred into seals, he twitched a bit. He was so much quicker at it that he couldn't even see which seals he performed. He could probably guess the first few easily, but from there it really was just a blur, let alone tell what his next jutsu was. When he did see it, however, he gulped. He knew the Uchiha were infamous for their fire chakra nature, but there was a sliver of hope that he wouldn't have to put up with it this fight. Still, Hirou's mind was instantly trying to work out a solution to this new problem; his own C-rank wind nature jutsu against his opponent's much stronger fire jutsu. He couldn't tell how strong, but it's strength was definitely not an illusion. Hirou assumed that his jutsu would lose out, and the fire dragon would be coming for him, next. And he couldn't count on his own jutsu nullifying the damage, as it was just wind nature. When the idea sprung into Hirou's head, he almost wanted to quit the fight right then and there. Was it even worth it? Was the risk worth the reward? And in an instant, Hirou had decided. He was in it for the long-run.

As soon as the two jutsu had collided, they errupted in flames. Hirou, hoping it would cover Shizuko's vision, darted forward in an attempt not to be seen. He raced into the abyss of chakra that even his Byakugan was having trouble seeing, closing his eyes (though he could see all around it just fine, eyes closed and all), and immediately began running. It sure as hell burned, but not like normal fire. Letting a jutsu, especially one as powerful as this, was not his everyday idea of fun. As his body was engulfed in the flames of his opponent's jutsu, he ran forward. He wasn't entirely sure if he was hallucinating from the pain he was trying to ignore, but he swore he saw twin snakes try to lunge at him from underground. Maybe Shizuko was trying to perform a genjutsu, and it had faded due to the pain. If pain were good for anything, warding off genjutsu like that would definitely be it's prime purpose. As Hirou locked eyes with Shizuko, who hopefully couldn't see past his own flames, Hirou took his Gentle Fist Stance with a step before emerging from the fire, aiming a strike directly at a chakra point in Shizuko's right shoulder. Should he hit, he would try and take advantage and combo for another nine hits, totalling ten strikes if he could manage it. The fire left him with a lot of burns, but nothing his Mystical Palm Technique couldn't fix with a little time. Still, it wasn't like him to run in like that, and he wouldn't want to do it again any time soon, and he wasn't sure if he could take another hit like that again. However, he wasn't planning on letting Shizuko actually hit him. Not if he could help it.

With the large explosion of fire against a large blast of wind, causing a vortex of fire to be created, along with a large explosion. Shizuko wasn't sure if his attack hit Hirou, or if Great Breakthrough had deflected it. He stood there for a moment, a bit confused, he couldn't hear a reaction from Hirou, could he have potentially harmed the boy a bit too much? It was a little unfair with his advantage with long range Ninjutsu, and overall advantage in experience. That first attack had drained a fair amount of chakra from Shizuko, and he could feel it, he had put a little too much into it, but he still had plenty to stand a fight. His eyes closed in reaction to the flying debris from the explosion of the Training Ground, shielding his eyes. His eyes quickly opened once again, and almost late, as he saw Hirou jump from the flames, had he ran through his Katon Jutsu?! This boy had to be somewhat insane to have done something so stupid, Shizuko gave off an honestly shocked face, as he braced himself.

Hirou ran like a bat out of hell towards Shizuko, his speed was almost hard for his eyes to track, but not fast enough. Quickly preparing a single tiger hand seal, as soon as Hirou had struck Shizuko, it almost seemed he disappeared, but in all reality he had replaced himself with a kunai with an explosive tag attached. He had suddenly reappeared at the exact location of where Hirou originally was, and set off another tiger hand seal, activating the explosive tag attached to the kunai. It was a devious tactic, and an effective one. Shizuko was bit confused as to why Hirou would do something so stupid, and overall it was for nothing, he simply dodged the attack. It was obvious the Hyuuga was suffering from burns, plus the fact an explosion that size would've harmed him. He shouted at him, Why the hell did you do that!? You could have killed yourself! as he face palmed, preparing his next attack.

As he prepared another string of hand seals, he began to spit out a large quantity of water from his mouth, at a high volume, in a attempt to swallow up and crush Hirou under the giant wave, it was in order to cool off any burns, make sure he wasn't set on fire, and to over all blast him away. While it may have seemed he revealed his final chakra nature, he still had one more up his sleeve. Had this attack landed, it would cause some serious damage, and probably win the match, as soon as Hirou was soaked by water he would prepare another string of hand seals with a very serious face. His mouth opened, as lightning was quickly released and was aimed directly for Hirou, it was a interesting tactic, mixing Raiton and Suiton in order to deal an extensive amount of damage.

Hirou made a strike for Shizuko's shoulder, apparently surprising him. 'Good,' Hirou thought, that was the entire point. However, his opponent was the Hokage, and there was no getting past their difference in skill. Meaning even though Hirou had taken the man by surprise, he was still ready for him. Hirou's open palm headed straight for one of Shizuko's chakra points, but was instead met with smoke from a substitution jutsu. Noting the kunai tagged with an explosive immediately, Hirou grabbed it and tossed it to the side. Thanks to his Byakugan, he already knew Shizuko was behind him, but he didn't trust his reaction time enough to aim it at Shizuko. The kunai exploded at a distance as Shizuko yelled at Hirou, rather ironically. 'You could have killed yourself!' Shizuko yelled, only seconds after trying to blow Hirou's face off.

As he turned, though his eyes were closed, Hirou could see Shizuko's next jutsu taking form with his handseals. Immediately Hirou's body twisted a bit as he prepared a jutsu of his own before Shizuko began to spurt water from his mouth. Hirou began to release chakra from every chakra point and spun, eradicating the flames still on his skin as the water raced towards him. The chakra protected him, the wave moving around him thanks to his 8-Triagrams Palm Rotating Heaven technique. Though done with his water jutsu, Shizuko seemed to fire another almost immediately after, and so Hirou kept on spinning. The second one seemed to be deflected just as easily, but it still worried Hioru. He noticed that not only did his opponent reveal a third chakra nature, lightning, but also that other than the spot that his technique had protected him from, he was in the middle of a giant puddle. The two natures did not mesh well for Hirou. Hirou had only used two jutsu so far, and his opponent had used four. He simply stood, waiting for Shizuko to move, because he was out of ideas. He'd already closed the gap once, and he'd paid the price for that. He wasn't sure how he could do it again.

A bored look slowly became visible on Shizuko's face, as he sighed. Well, I am getting tired. So let's finish this. and deactivated his Sharingan, returning his eyes back to their casual onyx for a moment as he sat on the ground, he was still in the middle of a battle, but Hirou was too far away to do any damage in a giant deflecting bubble. He could have easily just trapped him inside a water prison technique and called it quits, but he was about to set off his final attack, and a deadly one at that. As he stood back up, looking at his surroundings, the entire training ground was covered in a few inches of water, quite enough to do some major damage with a Suiton attack, but it seemed this barrier could deflect them. Re-activating his Sharingan, he continued to look at Hirou standing still inside the barrier, it was a really bad idea to stand in one place against a long-range ninjutsu user, but, whatever floats someones boat.

The boy had tossed the kunai away before it was even set off, which impressed him with his reaction time, Quick as a fox, Hirou, quick as a fox.. as he prepared a large string of hand seals, followed by a single tiger hand seal with vicious speed, causing him to shunshin towards Hirou, instantly reaching for his blade at his side, however not pulling it out quite yet, not until the very moment he was in range with Hirou's barrier, clicking a mechanism in the scabbard, causing the blade to burst out of it's scabbard, engulfed in flames by Flame Decapitation, which was what Shizuko had prepared, using speed, force and precision all at the same time to create a deadly strike with his blade, it was enough to catch the boy off guard most likely, and shatter his barrier to pieces. While he wasn't directly aiming to kill or mortally wound Hirou, he was deeply hoping that this barrier would take most of the hit, leaving Hirou with only slight injury, it was a dangerous hesitation if it was a real battle.

Hirou had left himself wide open for an attack. He was in the middle of an open field, simply standing there as he waited for his opponent to do something. Where he was standing was dry, but from there he was surrounded in water. If he were to step in it, it would give Shizuko the perfect opportunity to use a Raiton jutsu and Hirou would be done in a second. There was also enough water for Shizuko to use another Suiton technique, since there was already water to work with. He wouldn't have to waste more chakra to create more. Hirou couldn't think of anything to do, and he was pretty much at the disposal of his opponent. All he could do now was just sit there and try to counter whatever Shizuko threw at him next.

Hirou's eyes were still closed, he noticed, and so he couldn't see the difference in color in Shizuko's eyes as his Sharingan was deactivated and reactivated. He did notice, though, the amount of chakra in his opponent's face and how it was used. It was interesting to watch, but it made Hirou curious as to which of the two shinobi's doujutsu was most chakra efficient. He figured the Sharingan, probably, but also noted that the Sharingan also probably had more uses than just than his own Byakugan, and that those uses probably took more chakra than his Byakugan ever could use passively. Maybe one day the two of them could see which of the two was better. This fight, however, was not the time. Too many variables affected the scale, and it could be anyone's game at this point.

That is, until Shizuko decided it was over. Hirou noted the tiger seal as Shizuko disappeared in the blink of an eye. His Byakugan tracked his movements, and to his surprise, Shizuko was coming in close. He appeared in front of Hirou, within his 'dry circle', and from there it seemed like the battle was over. Either Hirou would win (which he had high hopes for), right now, or Shizuko would counter him. He wasn't so sure which of the two outcomes would be the result, but he knew it was a mistake on Shizuko's part to come this close. He noticed Shizuko pull his sword from its scabbard, and the flames that surrounded it. He then watched as he tried to strike at Hirou. It made Hirou wonder what exactly was going on, as the strike appeared to be fatal. Was Shizuko underestimating his ability to win this close-range, or was he counting on his ability to counter a seemingly lethal attack? Regardless, Hirou knew what to do.

His instincts took over and immediately one of his hands shot forward, "8-Triagrams Vacuum Palm!" he called as chakra surged from Hirou's chakra points, rushing towards Shizuko in an attempt to knock him backwards, off of his feet and defenseless. Imediately, Hirou took his stance, "8-Trigrams 32 Palms!" he called before rushing foward, his first two strikes happening in seconds, "2 Palms!" he said, followed by the rest of his attacks. "4 Palms, 8 Palms, 16 Palms! 32 PALMS!" He had only performed the technique correctly once before, but he had confidence. Not to mention, this was a real-life situation, where he could count on his adrenaline to help him succeed. He took a step back and focused on Shizuko's blade. Whether or not the fire on the blade still roared would indicate whether his taijutsu rendered his opponent unable to use his chakra. And if he had, the fight would be won. If not now, then soon. It was Hirou's turn to take the offensive.

The entire area had been soaked by the water from Shizuko's previous attack, all except for a large circle where Hirou stood, his technique having deflected both of Shizuko's attack, making Shizuko unable to use the water as a conductor for a Raiton Jutsu, what was that technique the Hyuuga used to deflect two separate attacks, it had to have required some skill in order to deflect two different B-rank attacks. Nevertheless, Shizuko wasn't too worried about it, every jutsu has a weakness, however this young boy had already canceled out the technique by the time Shizuko had prepared his attack. Charging towards him at a speed so fast the untrained eye couldn't keep up, but Hirou didn't have an untrained eye, the Byakugan, one of the three most well known Doujutsu in the history of Shinobi. It was a good question to ask which of these doujutsu were better, but then again, both of their Doujutsu were used as trump cards, not something to use as a crutch instead of a tool.

He didn't expect for Hirou to bring down his barrier, and he was already blasting towards him by the time he had realized, there was no stopping now. Feeling the blade blasting out of it's scabbard at lightning speed, Shizuko attempted to bring it towards Hirou, but was quickly intercepted by him, Hirou brought both of his hand up, releasing a blast of chakra towards Shizuko, causing him to fly back, his blade slipping out of his grasp and being tossed across the training grounds. While being tossed back, Shizuko prepared a single tiger hand seal, and was quickly struck by Hirou, exploding into a cloud of smoke, being substituted for another kunai with an explosive tag attached to it's end. Wasting a good amount of chakra with that last attack, he sighed, Hirou would eventually beat him at the pace they were going, he would lose too much chakra in this battle, this would be his final attack and potentially his failure in the match.

Reappearing from behind, Shizuko set down one last string of hand seals, his left hand attempting to reach for Hirou, the excess water from his surroundings began to quickly rush towards Hirou, attempting to control it, the water would create a giant prison of water around Hirou, making it impossible for him to move around in the dome, however, one of Shizuko's arms would be trapped inside this prison in order to keep it up, making it impossible for him to prepare another jutsu, unable to use the water to conduct electricity, he would have to wait for Hirou to either give in or drown. Perhaps the boy could escape from, or even dodge this jutsu all together. Shizuko would show off a sly smirk, responding to him with the words. Just let me know when you give up, Hirou. as he stood there, unable to move.

Hirou had been stuck between a wet place and a Hokage. He would have rather been stuck between a rock and a hard place. He'd rather have to beat through a rock than his current opponent, because his job of actually trying to hit the guy was insanely difficult. He knew from the moment he charged at him that he was going to miss. He wasn't entirely sure how; Shizuko had a few tricks up his sleeve, but he didn't really know all of them yet. He was learning, and Shizuko was starting to get predictable, but he hadn't figured him out, yet. He was on his way, but not quite.

What he didn't expect Shizuko to do was substitute. Again. It was probably one of the first jutsu Shizuko learned, and maybe that's why he used it so much. The moment he saw the smoke, he also noted the kunai with another tag. Hirou noted in his head that this was either Shizuko's last attempt at making this trick work, or simply a sign that he was starting to run out of ideas. Either way, it was good news for him. It could either mean that Shizuko was trying to preserve his other jutsu, either because he was running out or because he was holding back, or that he was actually running out of tricks. Both of which mean that Shizuko wouldn't be trying much harder to win. This was either the hardest he was going to try, or this was about 80%, and he'd see the last twenty in a final attempt any time now. Maybe Shizuko had trouble when he wasn't able to try his hardest, but whatever it was, Hirou was sure as hell going to take advantage.

When the kunai appeared Hirou grabbed it immediately, noted Shizuko's new location behind him, and tossed it to the side again. He had made his stance for 8-Triagrams, 32 Palms, and had even went in for a blow. But when he realized all he was meeting was another kunai, he stopped mid-technique and saved his chakra instead. If he would have the kunai aimed for Shizuko, he might have gotten himself caught in the blow, and he'd caused himself enough damage already. Now, Hirou had planned on avoiding the water in case it became a weapon. What he didn't expect, after a few handseals from Shizuko, was for the water to come for him. Hirou was trying to convserve his energy, and while he could have tried something then, he figured the jutsu, whatever it was, wouldn't be lethal. And so he allowed himself to be imprisoned by Shizuko's technique. What he noticed, however, is that the water made it hard for him to move. 'Just let me know when you give up, Hirou.' Shizuko said rather nonchalantly. It irked Hirou a bit, but it also made him aware that Shizuko wasn't trying too hard yet. Or maybe he was just a good actor, and he was in a pinch.

Hirou smirked, feeling a bit unoriginal with his use of the same technique twice in the same fight. But hey, that just meant it was more useful. "You think the power's all in the spin, don't you?" Hirou asked through the water, though he wasn't sure if Shizuko could hear him properly or not. Hirou concentrated for a second before releasing his chakra; all 361 chakra points at once. It disrupted the flow of Shizuko's prison immediately, and then he began to spin. He was using this jutsu offensively and defensively this time, and made sure that his Rotating Heaven technique extended to hit Shizuko full force. The fun part, Hirou noticed, was that it seemed Shizuko's hand being in the Water Prison Technique was a requirment by the jutsu. That meant that Shizuko couldn't dodge this time, which was fine by him. Immediately after his rotating Heaven Technique, Hirou decided he was tired of simply reacting to Shizuko. Now, he was on the offensive. Chakra flowed from his stomach and surged through and out of his palms, another Vacuum Palm headed straight for Shizuko.

Another dodge successful, it was quite easy to evade the moves the two were throwing at each other, they were basically throwing the same techniques at each other over and over again. Another kunai with an explosive tag attached to it's end laid near Hirou's feet, and with a single tiger hand seal it would've exploded, causing some decent damage to anyone near it, it was mostly used as a distraction for Shizuko's water prison, and it seemed that it worked. Hirou was enveloped by the water prison for a moment, causing Shizuko's arm to become trapped inside the giant dome of water, it was the ultimate weakness for him, had Hirou found a way to counter this technique, it'd leave him open for an attack. Hearing the distorted sound of Hirou's voice through the barrier, 'You think the power is all in the spin, don't you?' it was an interesting response to his current situation, considering the fact he was trapped in a giant dome of water that could eventually drown him.

Even if it was Kage VS Chuunin, rank didn't matter in this spar, it was all strategy and skill, but perhaps Shizuko was holding back? He was only using a few techniques over and over again, to achieve the title of Hokage, he would've have to have had some skill, not just using a basic jutsu and an explosive tag over and over again. Maybe he was holding back until the boy could perform his new technique on him, it may have been a long-shot, but certainly the Hokage wouldn't be this mediocre in a real fight. Regardless of that, Shizuko still didn't know the full capabilities of a Hyuuga, they weren't one to expose the uses of their techniques in a single fight, but something was better then nothing, Hirou was still trapped in the water prison, but could he break out?

What Hirou did next was amazing, releasing chakra from 361 different points in his body, causing the prison to explode and freed Hirou. Immediately activating his Rotating Heaven and blasted against Shizuko's body, knocking him back a few feet and was immediately greeted afterwards by the same technique twice, it seemed Hirou was using his chakra to create a shockwave to blast his opponent off their feet, and it was working. Tumbling back another few feet, it had literally knocked the wind out of Shizuko, panting heavily for a few moments with his hair now covering his eyes. Hirou was talented with close range combat, making it hard to land certain hits on him, however he had let Shizuko trap him in his water prison, soaking the boy with the water, he was a living conductor of electricity now.

Shizuko grabbed a strand of his bangs, sighing non-nonchalantly, twisting the hair with his two fingers for a moment. As he brushed his hair back in order to see again, his clothes coated in dirt, with his black hair blown back. He let out the words, Well, that didn't do much but mess up my hair. as he smirked, he was constantly berating the boys techniques during the midst of battle, but, it was all in good fun for him. What he was about to do next was a bit devious, even though Hirou had broken free from the water prison, he had come in contact with the water, causing all of the excess to leave him vulnerable to a Raiton attack, and Shizuko wasn't going to miss the opportunity. Preparing another string of hand seals, Shizuko placed one of his hands to his mouth, releasing Raiton chakra from his stomach, creating a lightning bolt from his mouth directed toward the water, instead of Hirou himself.

Hirou stopped rotating and immediately followed up with 8-Triagrams Vacuum Palm. He intended for both techniques to hit, but that didn't stop his surprise for when they actually did. The first technique had knocked Shizuko off of his feet, doing a surprising amount of damage, followed by his second knocking him quite a few feet away from him. Now, Hirou wanted Shizuko to be close enough for his 8-Trigrams 32 Palms, but getting these two hits off seemed like a small success in itself. And Hirou was no where near done with this fight.

His opponent didn't seem to think so, either. Hirou finally noticed what the prison was actually meant to do; to get him wet. 'Crap,' Hirou thought to himself as he pulled two kunai out of his pocket. He noted the handseals Shizuko made as Hirou darted to the right. Now that he was already soaked, he had no reason not to use the open field to his advantage. But Shizuko had no need to aim his attack, either. Opening his mouth, Shizuko aimed the raiton technique towards the water.

There was no dodging this blow, but Hirou had something else in mind. He pulled at wire that he kept on his side and strung it through one of the kunai and tied it to the other. Then he immediately tossed both in Shizuko's direction; one to his left, and one to his right. Neither were intended to hit Shizuko, but with Hirou holding one end and the other heading for Shizuko, if one of them were to get shocked, so would the other. If Hirou was getting hit, he was going to make damned sure his opponent was, as well.

It seemed like his trap had finally paid off, Hirou was apart of a giant conductor, with a large spear of lightning hurdling towards the water. Hirou was in for a bumpy ride, the pain of a large electric shock would be very real, if not fatal had Shizuko been holding back. Shizuko wasn't really worried of how the boy would counter this attack, for all he was concerned this was the end of the spar, it didn't seem Hirou had a way out of this one fortunately. Shizuko had used up nearly all of his chakra with the constant use of Ninjutsu, Hirou was immune to any of his visual Genjutsu and any attacks that were below a certain rank, so he had to try different ways of breaking Hirou's barrier.

What he didn't expect was for Hirou to pull out a large roll of wire and two kunai, tying the two together and tossing one to the left, and one to the right. Watching as Hirou held on to one end, he had realized what this was meant to do, use Shizuko's own attack to take him down with Hirou, it was a devious move. One Shizuko didn't expect, Hirou was willing to take Shizuko with him.

As soon as the lightning made contact with the water, Shizuko then prepared another string of hand seals, watching as the kunai flew by his side, he immediately grabbed the wire in his hand, bracing himself for the lightning to surge through his body, what he was about to do was crazy, he attempted to use his own Raiton attack to fuel another one, feeling as the electricity surged through his left hand, slamming his other palm onto the ground, redirecting the lightning out of his body to prevent himself from being electrocuted.
