*Face Palm* If I see one more person try to make a character that is a Mary Sue, I will NOT approve it. Put some time into your characters. I don't want to say single-faceted characters who "used to be" BADASSES FROM THE (insert village) who after (insert derpy injury) lost all of their capability.
I understand you want a character to root for, but this is about writing a story. If you win EVERY Fight, whats the point of writing? Jesus christ. Put some time into how you create your character and give thought rather than just trying to vicariously live through them. Let your character be a realistic person. No one has the perfect appearance and the perfect personality. Understand that and apply it to your characters.
