Some of you may be wondering why puppetry receives a topic of its own while it could be included with weapon systems. Well there's no easy explanation to it, but like any good puppeteer knows: puppets are not simply weapons and as such, they are not easily explained in the same topic or even the same breath. Puppets must be created using a special template. This template outlines its weight, its weapons, devices, and its appearance and must be applied for like a weapon. Once it has been reviewed and approved, a character may retrieve it by making a topic dedicated to it. The thing about puppets that make them so great is that while a user may have an unlimited amount of puppets, they must keep in mind, that each puppet has its own weight that contributes while it is in combat. Once a ninja has unlocked the capability to use puppetry, they have what is known as a "Weight Cap". This number decides how much weight a shinobi is capable of lifting with the strings of chakra used for their puppet. Keep in mind that a puppet that is too light will either have very low defence, or very low offensive capability and a puppet that is too heavy will be unable to move. One must find a balance of the two.
Additionally, individual weapons and devices must be made for a puppet using the weapon creation template. A weight must be added to these weapons and the combined weight of the puppets body + the weapons and devices decides the net weight of the puppet. If the net weight of the puppet or puppets exceeds the weight cap of the ninja, then the combination of puppet or puppets may not be used. The Weight Cap is as follows.
*Note that these numbers are arbitrary and just because you CAN lift 750 pounds, doesn't mean that you can lift 750 pounds effectively. Keep in mind that weight and mass reduces speed. It's a tactics game.
*Note, puppet users are granted a single free puppet upon creation which may not exceed 500 Ryou for it's total cost and must be made of wood.
