Uchiha hypnosis is stupid.

Should be made Visual genjutsu and at a cost for the reversing thing. Doujutsu reversing all genjutsu is stupid as... yea is stupid.

If you've an idea on fixing it. Post one up.

My idea was that it should take equal chakra as the genjutsu that you're breaking.

I don't find it that bad, it requires a equal chakra cost, the talent itself is expensive, not a lot of people use visual genjutsu, so it'd make it worthless if it was just visual.

If a doujutsu is allowed to instant break sound, taste, smell, and touch genjutsu it's rediculous. How do eyes instant reverse something that can only be activated with sound?

The Sharingan is supposed to be super powerful against Genjutsu, otherwise it'd just be pretty eyes that wield black fire.

It's supposed to be super powerful with genjutsu, not against genjutsu. though that is a nice side effect. It gets Tsukyomi and that other thing WITH the ability to instant reverse any visual genjutsu.

Not a lot of people can perform visual genjutsu, Itachi was able to reverse a touch genjutsu in the anime and manga.

Whaat genjutsu did he reverse that was touch based? Kurenai's tree bind was visual.

Tree Death is touch-based, she had to get a grip of him to perform it if memory serves correct.

Edit: He also broke Sasuke free of Genjutsu.

He broke Sasuke free by placing sasuke in Tsukyomi if memory serves, which is let's face it on another level than what sasuke was in. He was a genjutsu spec, and a genius of one at that. Tree bind is visual, and thus open to be reversed.

The Genjutsu Kabuto put Sasuke in was sound genjutsu, therefore Sharingan is able to break free of at least sound genjutsu

The sharingan didn't do it... The Tsukyomi that Itachi used canceled it out.

Tsukyomi is an ability of the Sharingan.

Tsukyomi is a jutsu. Not an ability of thee sharingan. The sharingan can not auto break sound genjutsu. Itachi had to use the most powerful genjutsu ever made, bar shushuis, to break it. If he could have just reversed it that would have been much easier for him to do rather than bleeding from his eye... -.-"

Tsukyomi is a jutsu, only capable of use if you are a user of the Mangekyo Sharingan, therefore an ability of the Sharingan. While it can not "auto break" sound genjutsu, it can still break it regardless with the proper technique.

But not by having sharingan hypnosis! Which is what the hell we're talking about. Geez. Even then he couldn't break it on himself. He had to hit sasuke and let sasuke hit him back. The whole reason Kabuto had sound genjutsu was to get around the sharingan. He just didn't anticipate having to fight two users at once.

While I don't really see a problem with reversing Genjutsu of all types, as it costs a lot of EXP to train, and the chakra cost. If a lot of people have a problem with this, then it should be changed.

Right, it's totally fair to cancel an entire style just be having a bloodline. So that anyone that makes a genjutsu user just can't fight an Uchiha until Kage level and they can use another style. That's definitely the best way to do that. Even without this Uchiha have advantages in genjutsu, this just makes it where someone can fight them in it.

Right, punish the RP'ers of a clan because they got an ability they didn't even make. Like I said, let the users vote, some people may not be against it, some people may. And you don't have to be Kage-level to fight in another style, at Genin you can use two different styles, it's my opinion VS. yours, so make a poll for it or something.

It's not about opinion against opinion. We're talking about an Canon Clan and what they can do in Canon. It isn't punishing you for being in the clan, hell it's still the best way to fight genjutsu period. That being said, in Canon, they cannot, let me repeat, CANNOT break sound genjutsu and reverse it with hypnosis.

Hell If I were to take this to how it should be they wouldn't be able to break any genjutsu with it. It would be made into an S rank genjutsu and cost that plus the genjutsu they reverse's chakra to use. Heaven and Earth was a jutsu and not part of hypnosis. I was simply not minding the fact that it was a bit stronger here, but giving them the ability to break all genjutsu, with this, is a huge no no. They have the power to break all genjutsu just not with this damn ability.

My Verdict:

Sharingan Hypnosis will not negate genjutsu that are not based around visual. Why? Because the sharingan is a DOUJUTSU which involves visual techniques, not hearing, touch, etc.

Additionally, they'll have to use an equal amount of chakra as the person who began the genjutsu if they want to break one. All in the sake of good balance.
